We only do birds here in the Bird Zone.
Bird Zone is a full-time, specialty taxidermy studio dedicated exclusively to birds with an artistic emphasis. We strive for excellence through rigorous study, continued education, and an ongoing commitment to improving our understanding of bird anatomy, movement, and advanced taxidermy techniques.
By making birds our only passion, we are able to focus on the details that make the difference between a good mount and an exceptional one. From feather placement and anatomy to expression and posture, we believe the small things matter—and we sweat them.
Bird Zone accepts most species of birds, with a particular emphasis on waterfowl and upland birds.
Bird Zone is federally and state licensed to legally handle, store, and mount migratory birds. We are also fully insured and operate in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

Early in 2014, Jeff's eye for detail and artistic instincts sparked a new passion and pursuit of excellence. Avian Taxidermy. His very first specimen was an Old Squaw Hen, and it still proudly displays in our showroom in Ripon, Wisconsin. Jeff and Olivia Herrick proudly served the Wisconsin Taxidermists Association for nearly a decade! Jeff held several leadership positions throughout the years, including Vice President and President. Olivia also served the association in many capacities, generously volunteering countless hours. Her positive, can-do attitude has made a lasting impact and created ripples throughout the industry! Jeff and Olivia continue to share their passion by teaching and holding classes at their Ripon, Wisconsin business. Jeff competed in the Masters division for years, winning "Breakthrough" Judges Choice Best of Show, numerous other top tier awards along with over a dozen first place Masters Division placements!
